OK haven't updated in a while and I don't really intend to at the moment BUT- below is somthing I just wrote to the awesome :

OK, in every generation there is some standard of ‘cool’ right? And before the internet there was a universally accepted style that was ‘in’. Back then, there were only a few radio stations and a few TV programs so everyone watched and listened to the same things. From there everyone got the message of what the style was. Clearly, that’s not the case today. TODAY we have an issue of having access to so much so instantly that everything in the market today is personalized. If you can’t make it personalized, then it’s no good and those products inevitably die. Any style is accepted today- 60s’ 20’s 80’s Punk, Gothic, Japanese, Audrey Hepburn, whatever- anything you can pull off, there is to much today to dictate otherwise. So what makes someone COOL by today’s standards? Choice. IF you make a choice. IF you are bold. IF you know yourself so well that there is no question about where you come from or who you are. Even if that means making a safe choice. Comfortability makes a person stand out. I think this is a standard we can get behind. (Granted there are exceptions and there will always be style themes throughout any and every generation but the point still stands that there is not only ONE WAY of doing things.(read: ignore highschool for the most part))

Sorry to say, you clearly have been freed from the bond of conformity. Some of your stuff is SO weird- it’s cool. It’s fresh! It’s YOU! And that’s what people are naturally drawn to.
