Nov 3, 11 New Submissions!

It's the Second Annual Great Sailor Moon Redesign contest!
For short we’ll call it the 2nd Annual Great Moon Redesign!


Sailor Moon! Fighter for justice, hero of love, and the gateway drug to anime, and girl-team heroes for boys and girls all over the world. It amazes me sometimes, the massive amount of support the name still brings back and last year was testimate to that love. With over a hundred entries, it became clear I would have to host this contest again this year.

Well, the time has come! The challenge is thus: Redesign one of the senshi with a new style. As there was some confusion last year, let me explain:

Things this contest is not-
- A crossover
- Reincarnation
- A level up or upgrade
- A future generation
- You and you’re friends dressed as Sailors

Things this contest is:
- A Redesign
- A style choice
- A possible Alternate Universe
- A chance to express yourself
- Fun

In other words, the change should be horizontal- not vertical.
From A to1 not from A to B. Understand?

If you want to win, keep this in mind. Our judges will. We have had some of the most beautiful submissions and we encourage ALL forms of sailor moon redesigns, but please don’t be too disappointed if your drawing is not chosen for the grand prize because it did not follow the guidelines. However, it is too sad to leave some of these out, so this year there will be a ‘Fan Favorite’ Award given and since the moonies (the people) will be the judge of this, you still have a good shot at some excellent prizes!

Make strong choices! Be brave! But remember the incentive!


How to Submit

You may either submit them in a link in a comment below or send a link in a note to (preferred). Entitle the note something easily recognizable. She will be conducting this contest as well as the main judge. (Try to please her. ) If you have any other questions or would like to be considered a judge, please send her a note! If you don’t know how to send a note or put up a link, please comment below!



Prizes:

Last year’s Grand Prize was the sewing of the winner’s submission. It went over great! The costume was beautiful and it received all the respect and love a great redesign deserved. This year, however, it may be more difficult to produce this prize. If you have any means to assist in helping this come to pass, by either donating funds or especially sewing skills, please contact ~vbabe1 right away. We still have some awesome prizes, but we want to make sure this year is as epic as the last.

Rules:

- Use an inspiration! It would be great fun to see a Gothic-Lolita Sailor Venus, a Video-game style Neptune, or an ancient Greek Pluto. Try out lots of things.



- You may use any existing senshi/scout for a base including Tuxedo Mask and any from the Manga, live action, video game, or musical. In fact, it’s encouraged! A beautiful new Mermaid Mercury stands out against a Moon submission.



- Make sure we can still recognize her (or him) at a glance- Red color to represent Mars, high ponytail for Jupiter ect. Change as much as you like but be warned that the judging will partially based on the fact that we know who it is- not a new Sailor.



- You may submit more than one deviation, this is also highly encouraged! If you intend to do a series, submit them separately because there can only be one ultimate winner for the Grand Prize.



- There is no limitation to the use of medium. Any form of deviation is welcome.



- Please no R-rated costumes, nothing that need a mature rating. If someone will be wearing this, we want to make sure it follows general cosplay rules and will be allowed onto most Expo showrooms.



- If you already have a design on file here, you MAY submit it as an entry. (Including those used as examples below.)



- You may submit a deviation you submitted from last year’s competition.



- If you are submitting a prize, are a judge, or are helping organize this event, you MAY submit to this contest!



- The Final Day to submit a deviation is NOVEMBER 14TH- 12am (Midnight)

Ladies and Gents, can you hear that? That’s right! It’s the Second Annual Great Sailor Moon Redesign Contest!! It’s almost here! In preparation I’m gathering up good examples of what I’m looking for anyone willing to help out this year-

I’m looking for:
- Organizers
- Advertisers
- Judges
- Those people willing to give prizes. This includes donating art, Prints, subscriptions, or promotions in your journal entries. I am also looking for cosplayers who’d like to donate time and skills. Please contact me if it tickles your fancy.

I need all the help I can get to make this project turn out really GREAT so please help me out if you are able.

In other news, this will be first time in history that I will be wearing a STORE-BOUGHT costume for Halloween. Weird. Normally I have something so awesome and unique that there isn’t any pre-made costume. Last year I went as a cute Luigi. Year before that? Um, I think I was…Oh! Raven. Year before that I was Babs Bunny. I could go on. But it’s strange. I wonder how it will fit. I’m not like the uber sexay ladies in the pictures. And it’s only semi-accurate. Also, the skirt is a little short to wear to the church party…whoops. I think I’m ashamed. But at least this people will recognize me right away.

And HOLY CRAP I'm *HOW* many deviations away from having 200?! (+scraps) o.o Geez. Does that mean My 200th has to be as epic as Immortal Regret? The next piece in that series isn't anywhere NEAR ready unless I super-book it and submit it before the dozens of others. I guess this is my fault, I should have been working on it years ago when I still had the same coloring style. But the poses I come up with are hard! Anyone feel like modeling for me? o.o

Because I KNOW how excited you guys get when I complain and let you know what's happening in my HUM-FRIKIN-DRUM life.


What are your dreams? I don't know what my dreams are anymore.
I used to know because everyday I woke up with the violent passion for what I was doing. And I suffered for it all last year striving to acheive what I wanted. but I failed. I gave in because I had to take a job to help me survive- I HAD to live and start estabishing some kind of life. I dislike this job BUT perhaps it's the magic key to some unknown beautiful future.

Well, I don't know about that. Reason states I should look for a new job first and then look for a apartment near there. But Life seems to not care what reason says and offers me a place to live really really soon. Hm. Should I move forward or fight a fate?

I'm going to have to call my sugar-daddy tonight. Perhaps he'll give me some insight.

In the meantime this is basicly a whiney placeholder of a journal entry because I'ts depressing to log in and see the little emoticon stab the other one in the head with a fork- as much as I love that little guy. I'm over that event for now. No need to be reminded how twisted I can be everytime I come to see you gaiz right? RIGHT?

OH and I'll upload some sktechy art shutffff in the next few days. You excited yes?!

HEY HEY YOU YOU I DON'T LIKE YOUR GIRLFRIEND.

I just wrote a really nasty, very long, and very bitter journal entry. I ctrl+A, ctrl+X, ctrl+N, ctrl+V into a new word doc so it's saved.

It included such words as: dieing, cancer, GoodBYE, WRONG, puss, posion, terrible, manipulative, lying, OC, backstabbing, two faced, heart, stomping, selfish, love-starved, venoumus, whore, twisted, abuse, pain, hate, loath, dispise, binine, medication, infuriated, sick.


oh and Bitch. My favortie swear-word.

My very favorite.

But I'm saving it for a special occation.

I just wanted to mark this momentus occation so I know exactly when it happened.
